2020 NFWF FAQ's

IS THE NFWF STILL GOING AHEAD FOR 2020?

YES! 

Our management team continues to monitor the COVID-19 situation in coordination with local, state and federal authorities. The safety of guests, staff and volunteers is first and foremost, and we will be implementing all the required precautionary measures to ensure safety for all attendees.

 

WHAT TIME DOES THE FESTIVAL OPEN?

FRIDAY September 11, 2020

VIP Launch Party Opens at 7:00pm

 

SATURDAY September 12, 2020

VIP GRAND TASTING ENTRY - Gates Open at 11:00am

GENERAL ADMISSION ENTRY - Gates Open at 1:00pm

 

HOW WILL WINES BE SERVED?

VIP Guests (Grand Tasting and Bruncheon) will receive official NFWF etched glasses to be used throughout the festival, with various wash stations setup throughout the venue to rinse glassware. General Admission guests will be offered sample wine pourings in discardable cups from each booth locations. 

WILL THE VIP EVENTS SELL OUT?

YES! 

 

There is a set capacity for the VIP Launch Party and VIP Grand Tasting Brunch, and tickets are sold on a first-­come, first-served basis. The Festival cannot expand the capacity of any event to accommodate additional guests.

CAN I BOOK GROUP TICKETS TO THE EVENT?

Yes, email info@northvillefoodwine.com (20 or more) for discount offers on 20 guests or more. 

WHAT IF ITS MY BIRTHDAY ON SEPTEMBER 12?

Email info@northvillefoodwine.com with a guest list of 10 or more people, and we will provide a complimentary General Admission Ticket to the person with the birthday, all other guests in the party receive a 10% discount on their General Admission Tickets. 

 

WHERE DO I PICK UP MY TICKET?

VIP Ticket holders will receive their tickets upon entry to the designated event (VIP Launch Party / VIP Grand Tasting). This ticket will remain valid for entry into the Saturday Festival. All GENERAL ADMISSION tickets will be available for pick from the Registration Booth in Downtown Northville on Saturday, September 12, 2020, from 12:30 pm onwards with presentation of Eventbrite Document and ID. 

 

ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED?

Children under the age of 21 are permitted throughout the festival with the accompaniment of an adult at all times. 

 

PARKING & DIRECTIONS

Due to the limited parking in Downtown Northville we highly recommend taking public transportation or having a designated driver for drop-off and pick-up. 

 

WHAT KIND OF ID DO I NEED TO PRESENT?

Guests can present any government-issued driver’s license or ID card containing a photograph and date of birth. 

NO School ID,  Consular ID, Birth certificates, Photocopies of any ID are acceptable. 

 

WHAT IF IT RAINS?

Well, we ordered a fine and sunny day, we expect perfect weather again this year. This is a rain or shine event. The Festival will go on regardless of the weather. If it looks like rain, bring an umbrella! No refunds will be given. 

 

WHAT IF I DON’T WANT TO DRINK, CAN I STILL ATTEND?

YES!

 

The Northville Food & Wine Festival is open to the public on Saturday, September 12, 2020 in Downtown Northville.  

 

WHAT IF I DON’T LIKE WINE?

With the purchase of your General Admission or VIP ticket, guests can interchange their ten (10) sample tastings with either wine or beer throughout the Saturday event. 

 

WHAT IF I WANT MORE THAN TEN (10) SAMPLE TASTINGS?

Guests with General Admission or VIP Tickets can purchase additional wine/beer/food tasting tickets throughout the Saturday festival. 

 

IS SMOKING ALLOWED?

For the comfort of all Guests, smoking of tobacco, e-cigarettes or other products that produce a vapor or smoke is allowed ONLY in designated areas of the festival.

 

CAN FOOD BE PURCHASED THROUGHOUT THE DAY?

YES!

 

With your ticket purchase, guests will receive day-long food samples specially prepared by local chefs. There will also be a variety of food vendors on-site to purchase additional meals throughout the day. 

 

CAN I PURCHASE BOTTLES OF WINE AT THE FESTIVAL?

YES! 

We have partnered with Downtown Northville’s Simply Wine on Center Street for attendees to purchase bottled wine from vendors featured at the festival (with discounted pricing) throughout Saturday, September 12, 2020 only.

 

WHAT CAN I BRING TO THE FESTIVAL (Other than my dancing shoes and positive attitude!)?

  • Non-alcoholic beverages in sealed containers

  • Low rise chairs / Folding chairs (can be set up in Northville Center Square - Main Stage area)

  • Bottled water or a refillable personal water bottle is permitted

  • Small umbrellas, (If your umbrella is too large and causes disruption to other guests, you will be asked to take it down.)

 

WHAT CAN’T I BRING TO THE FESTIVAL?

  • No illegal or illicit substances, drugs, or drug paraphernalia

  • No weapons of any kind including, but not limited to, pocket knives and self-defense sprays

  • No flammable items or liquids including aerosols and fireworks

  • No markers, pens or spray paint

  • No bottles, cans, canteens, flasks, or coolers

  • No tents, beach/golf umbrellas, ez-ups

  • No laser pens, laser pointers, or similar focused light devices

  • No musical instruments, noisemakers or air horns

  • No professional cameras, flash cameras or video and audio recording equipment, or camera poles

  • Additional items may be prohibited at the discretion of law enforcement or security officials.

 

ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY

The use or possession of any illegal drugs will not be tolerated anywhere inside or outside the venue. Narcotics officers will be working areas and enforcing all drug-related laws. Do not bring any illegal substances to the event; violators will be removed from the event and may face prosecution. 

 

NFWF will have TIPPS certified servers on-site throughout the event, anyone deemed to be intoxicated will be refused service and may be subject to removal from the festival by security/law enforcement, without return. Be responsible, and make smart choices. 

 

REFUND POLICY

The safety of our guests, volunteers, and staff is of utmost importance and Northville Food & Wine Festival continues to closely monitor local, state, and federal guidelines relating to COVID-19. 

 

Should the 2020 Northville Food & Wine Festival be canceled for any reason (although we certainly hope not!), 95% of the ticket purchase price (administration expense from Eventbrite) will be fully refunded within 5 days of the announcement of festival cancellation. 

 

Purchasers can also elect to donate their ticket cost(s) directly to Northville Educational Foundation.  

 

All ticket holders will receive emails with their options should the event be canceled.
